I dont play Souls games for a number of reasons, a lot of valid criticisms. The problem that arises is that Dark Souls is a uniquely challenging series that wouldn't fit with a lot of IPs, including Diablo. It feels like Dark Souls is thrown around way too much as a comparison because it's the best 3rd person action fantasy game with RPG elements and a loot progression.
